Book Cover Design

A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again" is a collection of essays written by David Foster Wallace. The essays explore profound insights into the human condition while also displaying a unique blend of humor and introspection. For the cover, I chose an image that captures the same playful yet insightful tone as the essays. The image shows someone putting glue on a toothbrush, which is like how Wallace examines normal experiences (like a cruise) and shows their strange or complex sides. The toothbrush is a regular object that represents our daily routines, but the glue adds a funny and surprising element, just like Wallace's writing does.
